Our Pastor

Pastor Haeran Kim's Korean childhood and early Christian training, combined with her young adult years in America, have given her a
strong faith and a broad world-view, which fits well the Wesleyan tradition of "the world is our parish". Pastor Kim shepherds First UMC
with willing hands, a loving heart, and a strong faith in our Lord.

"I was born in Seoul, Korea, and came to the United States at age 19 with my family as immigrants. I have lived in this country longer than in my homeland, Korea. Now I consider that I have lived with the thought I have two contries: If Korean gave me birth and the roots for who I am, the United States nurtured me and gave me education. I appreciate and enjoy being Korean-American."
